get your hands off my shiny aluminium baby

Getting a new computer is a lot like moving to a new house…

Packing up for the move you find all sorts of things that you didn’t even know you had, or wonder why you kept them for so long.

Sure you know the general layout of the place before you get there, but once you’re in hundreds of little decisions need to be made. In which cupboards are you going to put the dishes? Should the cups go on the first shelf or the second?

You spend a lot of money on things you didn’t know you needed until now.

For some time you can’t walk to the bathroom in the dark without stubbing your toe.

You’ll take care to still remove your shoes before you come in so the carpet stays clean, well, at least for the first month or two.

With that in mind I suppose moving from Windows to OSX could be compared to moving from the US to the UK. Language won’t be a barrier but you find common words have new strange variations. Yes, queue. People seem a tad more sophisticated. Common goods and services are still available but which of the new names for them do you now trust? And there’s that whole driving on the opposite side thing.

Think about it. I’ll get back to you when I’ve settled in.

fun Joel vs. business Joel

Fun me’s been unreachable for several months now (possibly locked in a refrigerator) while business me has been wrapped up in my latest endeavor. But finally the fruits of my labor can be viewed with the new site These People Comedy. I’m very proud of the results. Check it out and let us know what you think.

Of course, you can be our friend too here at: http://www.myspace.com/thesepeoplecomedy

And, because likes and dislikes are best quantified on a scale of 1 to 5, we’ve got a YouTube account.

It’s great! 3 ways you can tell us how much we are “teh sux,” or 3 ways you can send links to your friends to make them WTF?LOLROTFLMAOJ/K!!!!111
